Lady Fliers Notch fourth straight win in a 5-1 decision over visiting Perkins.
Taylor Gray led the hitters with a double and single and freshman Skylar Colvin once again pitched a fine complete game as the Lady Flier softball folks took care of Sandusky Perkins. Skylar struck out eight Pirates and walked just one.
Perkins took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third. Two singles helped get the game’s first run across home plate. The Lady Fliers retaliated in their gdd as of the third. Third base girl Kendall Bailey led off with a walk. Maddie Dukeshire sacrificed Kendall to second. Skylar then drove her in with a base knock. Taylor Gray then rapped a single to advance her teammate, Skylar. Sammy Friend then walked. After a strikeout,senior Kinsley Taylor smashed a shot into left center to drive in two runs.
The Lady Fliers added their final run in the sixth. Sami Friend began with a solid knock for a single. Kamdyn Taylor would drive her in with two outs.
The winners had seven hits with four walks. The blue and gold batters struck out four times.
Weather permitting, the girls travel to Edison Thursday. A home doubleheader with visiting Ashland is scheduled for 10:30 Saturday!
