Big Seventh Inning Propels Clyde Fliers Varsity Win Over Columbian
Clyde Fliers Varsity defeated Columbian 11-1 on Tuesday thanks to eight runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Trevor Burtch, Mikey Haynes, Lucas Warner, Chris Florence, and Ryan Lozier and a double by Cam Farrar.
Clyde Fliers Varsity scored eight runs in the seventh inning. Clyde Fliers Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Burtch, Farrar, Haynes, Warner, Florence, and Lozier, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Haynes earned the win for Clyde Fliers Varsity. He allowed one hit and zero runs over six innings, striking out nine. Florence threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Gabe Reyes took the loss for Columbian. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 hits and ten runs while striking out seven.
