Game Recap

Final: Clyde 6- Port Clinton-1.

Goals: Savannah Miller-2, Sidney Hohman-2, Hayley Robinett-1, Sam Alexander-1.

Assists: Sidney Hohman-1, Savannah Miller-1, Lily Noftz-1, Sam Alexander-1.

The Lady Fliers defeated Port Clinton 6-1 in conference action to take their season back to .500. The Lady Fliers looked to be in control the entire game. Thanks to some very intelligent play from Hayley Robinett and some stout defense led by Hannah Elchert and Goal Keeper MJ Overmyer. The Lady Fliers were content but not satisfied with a 2 goal halftime lead and doubled their first half effort to end up with 6. Robinett had a very solid game with 2 steals, 4 interceptions, one non-goalie save, and 6 clears. Hayley goal came from a very smart sniping opportunity in which she was able to chip the exposed Port Clinton goalie off a corner from on top of the box. Hannah Elchert ended on a great note with 2 steals, 3 interceptions, and 7 clears. She snuffed out seemingly ever dangerous threat the redakins had. MJ Overmyer saved 7 of 8 shots on goal to add to her terrific senior campaign.
