Game Recap

Lady Fliers Fall 5-1 in Season Soccer Opener at Robert J. Bishop Jr. Stadium
This morning, junior Jordie Roberts scored the lone goal in the match against a solid Upper Sandusky team. The Lady Fliers struggled defensively and offensively in falling behind 4-1 at the half. Encouraging play as a team in the second 40 minutes, left Coach Fulton and his assistant Nate Koenig uplifted going into the Girls Monday practice.
“One thing we need,” Coach Fultz commented,” is for more girls to be vocally positive and help pick one another up.”
Both coaches told the girls that based upon their second half the improvement, better things lay ahead.
“In two weeks, it’s likely the girls will be playing better and will have forgotten today’s loss!
EXTRA: The game marked the first soccer game for Senior and former cross country star, Hailey Robinett. ” It definitely is a grueling sport, and the big difference is you have to think a lot more than a distance runner does!” The personable teen and her team attitude plus great speed should help the Lady Fliers’ chances overall through the 2017.
